In the frigid forest, the land sits damp with loneliness and monotony. Every winter, the trees freeze pale with snow, leaving the Yes Bears sheltered in their caves for many months at a time. The Yes Bears dreamed of a life beyond their favorite fruit trees and river beds. They craved warmth and company to keep their hearts full.

Their Aunt Camila told stories of Etheverse City, a magical city where tall trees made of stone and glass housed humans, who enjoyed their winters with cups of warm cacao and jovial holiday spirits.

The Yes Bears dreamed fondly of the scenic skyscrapers, ocean fish markets, and the bustling of new friends as they went about their daily lives. When they thought of Etheverse City, they felt at home. The forest had served them for years, but they were ready to journey from their woodlands and move into the city.

There was one slight problem. How are bears supposed to communicate with humans?

The Yes Bears trekked from trail to road to city and journeyed to Etheverse City as they demonstrated their determination and focus for a new life ahead. To their surprise, vivid holograms rose from the street signs and nearby cafes, signaling them to come forth.

Advancements in metaverse technology enabled Yes Bears to bridge their differences in language, culture, and technology with humans - piecing together the verbal puzzles that the Yes Bears had pondered the whole journey there.

As they waited in line at a nearby cafe, the Yes Bears shared their warm holiday cheer with the friendly humans in front of them. They made their first friends who took them to fresh fish markets, scenic skyscrapers, and crowded parties where they danced the night away.

Seeking excitement, companionship, and new experiences alike, in the Etheverse City – Yes Bears were eager to say yes to the abundance of opportunities that came their way.

As the Yes Bears and humans grew closer, they integrated as valued members of the local community. Following the example of their human friends, they took on important roles to serve as brothers, fathers, uncles, students, officers, chefs, bartenders, baseball players, firefighters, miners, sailors, police officers, and many, many more.

Their contributions and shared company sparked joy and happiness in their local community. Perhaps moving to the big city wasn’t so bad, after all.

Speeding past hologram-infused corridors in the heart of Etheverse City, a pair of brown bears jolt through digital map projections in a rampant race to the finish. After drifting cleanly across the finish line, they park at a nearby night bar to celebrate their wins.

In this electric city, fortune favors those that say yes.
